Hot Water System Replacements, Upgrades, Servicing Or Maintenance

Electric / Gas / Solar / Heat Pumps

From no hot water to that painful water hammer that you’ve been putting up with for a while, we do everything and anything hot water related. Sometimes your hot water heater may be an easy fix, sometimes it’ll need replacing; either way we’re here to get it up and running as pain free as possible.

Hot water issues can seem complicated, but once you’ve been working on and or with them for a while it’s not so.  It’s important to get the most out of your hot water heater by running it as efficiently as possible. Unfortunately, power and water rates don’t appear to be going down anytime soon.

If you require a new hot water heater, we’ll explain to you not only the options available on the market, but also the Council obligations for new and old installations.

Be sure to compare apples with apples, as there is a few rotten ones out there.

Tempering Valves
Tempering valves are installed to prevent the possibility of scalds.

If for example you are an owner of a rental property, it is your duty of care that an acceptable tempering device set to a maximum of 50*C is installed to prevent scalding. Hot water can be supplied to kitchen sinks and wash troughs at 70*C. Although, this can prove costing when a new hot water unit and or device is to be installed on an existing dwelling/building; as there is generally only one feed in from the previous hot water supply. Existing dwellings where pipework is accessible can be easily altered to allow for two split lines accommodating for both hot and tempered lines.

It is law that tempering valves be installed to provide the required water temperature – there is no exception.
